This epic BBQ event is held at the Citrus Center Boys and Girls Club in Winter Haven. 2400 Havendale Blvd. NW. A free “Park & Ride” service will be provided from Champions Church, located at 1801 Havendale Blvd. NW. Premium parking ($5) also available.
Sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association, this event is an automatic qualifier to the World Food Championships and a qualifier for the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue and the American Royal.
100% of funds raised go directly to Boys and Girls Clubs in Winter Haven, Lake Wales and Haines City. The cost is only a $1 donation (kids 12 & under are free). We rely largely on your generous sponsorships to support the 800 kids we serve every day.

What's happening on Friday night?
The Friday before Smoke on the Water has always been our big party to honor our amazing sponsors. This year, we’re also giving the public a chance to purchase some fantastic BBQ before Saturday’s competition! Admission to purchase BBQ and check out some great bands is $10 donation to the club. Gates open at 6:00 pm. This year’s Sponsor’s Dinner will be served in the Main Tent at 6:30 pm, followed by a lakefront bonfire bash. We’ll have some amazing live music from the Last Exit Blues Band and Ben Myers, a cash bar, fireworks and more. No coolers or pets allowed.

How much does the BBQ competition cost?
Admission to the Smoke on the Water team event is only a $1.00 donation. Premier Parking (Garner Elementary and Oakridge Funeral Home) is $5.00. Donations welcome!
Who will be competing?
This Florida BBQ Association sanctioned event will have over 80 teams from across the Country competing for over $11,000 in cash and prizes. We have been selected as an automatic qualifier for the World Food Championships, the Sonny’s Smokin’ Showdown Invitational and the American Royal! This goes along with being a Florida qualifier for the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue.
Where can I park?
The free “Park & Ride” service from Champions Church (1801 Havendale Blvd NW) is a hassle-free way to get in and out of the event. We’ll have buses running back and forth every few minutes throughout the day. We expect around 20,000 people to attend. Using the free park and ride is strongly encouraged!
For $5.00, you can take advantage of “Premium Parking” at the following two locations:

Oakridge Funeral Home: 2425 Havendale Blvd. NW
